Witches Brew— A Halloween Delicacy

Witches brew is the perfect sweet and warm treat for cold October nights!

We’re a dye free, vegan, food allergy family so I’ve got your bases covered if you fall into the same category!

Now you could make witches brew from absolute scratch with cocoa powder and sugar. I chose to use ready made packets from Starbucks (vegan mamas, Starbucks hot chocolate is vegan as long as you get it with a non dairy milk). I get ours from Winn Dixie, but I believe I’ve found some at TJ Maxx and you can find it online too!

What makes witches brew? The marshmallow eyeballs!!

Take vegan marshmallows (I use Dandies. Here’s a 4 pack, but I’ve found them at Walmart and there’s another vegan brand called Yummalow) and put them in a bowl. Take natural food colouring (I use Watkins) and drop all over the marshmallows. They’ll end up looking like jawbreakers!

Make the hot chocolate according to packet and drop the marshmallows in. Need a dairy free milk? I use Ripple or soy milk but here are some suggestions in this blog post!

Now you have yummy Witches Brew!

Let me know if you try Witches Brew! This would also be really tasty with coconut whipped cream!
